Résumé

Hunter "Patch" Adams entame des études de médecine avec l'intention bien arrêtée d'expérimenter son étrange théorie: il faut soigner le patient autant que sa maladie, et ce grâce au plus universel des réconfortants : le rire, qu'il a un don inné pour provoquer. Las, certains pontes de la médecine envisagent mal l'idée d'un médecin-clown…
