Résumé

1980, Ebola en Afrique centrale. Une épidémie de nature inconnue décime le personnel et les malades d'un hôpital de brousse. Don Francis (Donald Pinkston Francis), un jeune virologiste du CDC, l'organisme américain chargé d'analyser les causes et les conséquences des maladies, voit une femme décéder de cette maladie (le virus Ebola). Quelques mois plus tard, il découvrira une autre maladie tout aussi nouvelle et terrifiante, nommée SIDA.
